There are a bajillion food blogs out there. Most of them are good, a smaller number are great, and even less hold the title of awesome. Pinch of Yum is one of the few awesome food blogs, and one I follow religiously. That's why I love them. PoY is run by Lindsey and Bjork Ostrom in the exotic state of Minnesota. It's exotic to me, down in North Carolina, mostly because of the copious quantities of snow they get each year. Lindsey & Bjork also run Food Blogger Pro, put on workshops, and have a podcast. #relationshipgoals
Lindsey and Bjork are firstly, an adorable couple and proud dog-parents to Sage. They not only share food stories, awesome recipes, and tantalizing photos, but also stories about their life together. They also actively give back to organizations they believe in and visit the Philippines to volunteer at an orphanage. How sweet?!
Pinch of Yum has grown and evolved into a full-time business for Lindsey and you can tell how much she puts her heart into each recipe she creates. The photos are saliva-inducing and the recipes actually taste great. Best of all, most of the PoY recipes don't have complicated techniques or hard-to-find ingredients. Just delicious food and easy to make at home. I've had great success with many of her recipes.
Pinch of Yum Favorites
In addition to growing and working on Pinch of Yum, they also have Food Blogger Pro. Bjork runs FBP - a subscription based community for food bloggers looking to grow within their highly competitive niche. I'm a HUGE fan of the Food Blogger Pro podcast. Even though I'm not a food blogger, I've learned a ton of helpful info from Bjork and the guests he has on the show. The podcast has a ton of great info for any blogger and also has great, inspirational stories about everyday people who have achieved both financial and location independence through their blog. #lifegoals
If you're a food blogger, I would strongly recommend soaking up ALL the information FBP/Bjork and Lindsey are putting out in the world. If you just love food - take a look at the Pinch of Yum recipes. You'll be delighted at the recipes and stories on the site.
Also, definitely follow these two on social media. If nothing else, you'll get adorable photos of their dog, Sage, who is cute as a button!
