Mont Saint-Michel is an engineering marvel. Situated on the northern coast of Normandy in France, Mont Saint-Michel is a tiny village with a massive abbey sitting atop the hill. Twice daily, the causeway leading to the island is covered by the high tide, making it completely inaccessible for nearly 6 hours each day.
